What you can Expect

The Bible is considered by many the most read and sold book in the world.  This isn’t surprising because the book itself foretold it – Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Acts 13:49 just to mention a few.

This book is read by people from different walks of life.  Many successful entrepreneurs find the chapters in Proverbs, Ecclesiastes or Job enlightening because of the knowledge and strategies they possess.

However, a lot of us find the Bible sometimes boring (especially the King James Version), hard to grasp and lengthy; so we stay away.  Well, with WORDjunkie that’s over.  Expect the word brought to you in a practical manner that you can relate to – as it applies to life, society and the things we all go through day-to-day.

Expect the words in the scripture come alive and seeing yourself in some of the Bible parables and encounters with similar experiences as in the characters.  Expect to read a succinct and to the point study of the word – because I respect your time.

Also expect to find truth – the essence and meaning of life.  Each breakdown will be carefully written using reputable resources (the Bible #1) and containing the necessary nuggets that will get you hooked on the book.

Why?

Society and the world we live in have systems and structures in place to make us subjects, more like zombies (if you watch “The Walking Dead”).  These systems do not have anyone’s best interest, they profit no one.  Their aim is to profit from the simple –  those who just don’t know.

I used to be like that, simple, as the Bible describes; not knowing the truth, tossed here and there.  Following everything, addicted to the wrong things.  However, finding truth in God’s word (the Bible) gives me the leverage to be free from these systems that are designed to enslave.

These structures or systems can be found everywhere – in politics and policies, family, the internet and technology, medicine and pharmaceutical, entertainment, finance, jobs, just to mention a few.  Please don’t get me wrong, the aforementioned have their numerous blessings.  However, directly or indirectly a lot of us have become yoked to the negative sides of these systems.

Men and women created and ordained by God to live life purposefully and abundantly now find themselves controlled by government, medication, drugs, jobs, internet etc.  As a result, some or many areas of their lives suffer – meaningful relationships, family, health, purpose, destiny… why?  There’s a missing link… we can’t do it on our own.

I used to be enslaved and lost but thank God for His grace and love that found and freed me.  Though, a work in progress, I can boldly say once I was dead but now alive, blind but now I see.  Ladies and Gentlemen, what we earnestly seek – satisfaction, love, truth, purpose, health and everything else is in the book (God’s word).  Let’s get hooked!!
