Know that He is GOD!

What’s up beautiful people!!  I trust God that you and your family are safe and healthy despite the current climate.

Psalm 46:10 – Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Exodus 14:4 –  And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so.

This is definitely not the start we all dreamed or hoped for the new year/decade.  However, the bible assures us that “Better is the end of a thing (i.e. year 2020, the decade) than the beginning thereof… Ecc 7:8“.   Job 8:7 motivates us “though thy beginning was small (i.e. not what you expected), yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”  Exodus 14:13b declares “the Egyptians (i.e. corona virus, pandemic, trouble, crisis) whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever”.  These are a few scriptures to help booster our faith in tough times and remind ourselves that “it is but for a moment”.

Sweet friends, the world right now is at a stand still – nations on lock down, businesses forced to shut down or slow down, world markets in meltdown and people mandated to quarantine.

First, this is a reminder that the world systems are not foolproof and cannot save us in times of crisis except the Lord’s. It is also a reminder of the fallibility of human systems and the infallibility of God’s systems.  Psalms 20:7-8 (NLT) reiterates “Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.  Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.”  So I urge us, let our boast – confidence and dependence always be in God.

Second, it is an indication that God is about to show forth His glory, His salvation, His deliverance mightily to the world as a reminder that the earth is the Lord‘s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.  Beloved, God is still THE BOSS and very much in control.  Please be still, stay healthy and safe.
