What’s up beautiful people!! It’s been awhile since my last post and I am really really sorry for that.
I want to share some cool insights with you briefly. As a believer, you’re a covenant child. The moment you got saved (became a child of God), your sins were forgiven and you entered into a covenant with God – Matthew 26:28. You also became ONE with Him – Psalms 82:6.
Becoming one with God means you’ve traded your weaknesses for God’s strengths by virtue of covenant and become eligible to sit at the table – Psalms 23:5. Covenant therefore, reserves and sets a table for you. On this table, you’re served with blessings, breakthrough, health, wealth, peace, longevity, fruitfulness, favor, grace, mercy, love, good relationships; you name it, it’s all on the table.
Check this out; Jonathan and David had a covenant (1 Samuel 18:3) and by reason of the covenant, Mephibosheth (Jonathan’s son) though lame, ate at the King’s (David) table continually (2 Samuel 9:13). Now, if the covenant made by men for men could be so binding and powerful, how much more the covenant made by God for men (i.e everybody).
However, there’s an enemy out there that will stop at nothing to ensure that we do not enjoy our covenant table. Sin breaks the terms and conditions of the covenant and removes us from the table. Matthew 15:27 – “And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
Friends, why eat crumbs off the table when we ought to eat the meals on the table? Why eat like beggars when we ought to eat like masters? Why live like servants when God has made us kings and queens?
Here’s the best part; God will never break His covenant – (Psalms 89:34). That is, if we don’t get to sit at our covenant table; it’s because we’ve broken the covenant NOT God. But thank God for His mercy towards us, He is always ready to forgive us our sins.
Lovely people, we all know our sins (1 John 1:8, Romans 3:23) and it’s time to ask for mercy and renew the terms and conditions of the covenant by living right in His sight. Your covenant table is set with unlimited menu and reserved for you by God. Sit and Eat!!
